EMDR and Sandtray Intensive

‘Where Symbols Meet Consciousness’

EMDR-Sandtray Therapy

LIVE & IN-PERSON!

3, 4, 5th October 2025 – LONDON

15 CPD points have been approved (EMDR UK)

This is an 18 hour training, delivered live, in London over 2 1/2 days.

This immersive 18-hour training explores the transformative power of integrating EMDR therapy with sandtray therapy, creating a multimodal approach that accesses both explicit and implicit trauma memories.  By utilising the wisdom of symbols, the kinesthetic power of the sand and the unique portal into deeply held, often unspoken experiences, this approach provides a powerful pathway for trauma processing and healing.

Rooted in established theory, cutting-edge research, and the latest insights from neuroscience and autonomic nervous system regulation, this training provides practical, hands-on strategies for the delivery of EMDR Therapy in combination with sandtray therapy.  It emphasises clear markers that guide moment-to-moment decision-making, whilst also highlighting the importance of the therapeutic relationship, co-regulation, presence, and reciprocity as foundational elements for deep, transformative healing.

Participants will also learn to support client history-taking and treatment planning within the sandtray, effectively utilise preparation and resourcing phases, and access trauma memories at varying levels of distance.  This approach honours the bi-hemispheric structure of the brain, gently inviting the voices of the left brain whilst honing in on the wisdom of the right, leveraging the power of metaphor, symbolism, and sensory engagement for profound, lasting change.

The Sunday Club

ONLINE

The Sunday Club was established to provide on-going CPD / CE for people around the world, at an affordable cost, whilst ensuring that we could create useful masterclasses and workshops, in time zones that enabled people from around the world to network and learn from one another.

Why is the Sunday Club on a Sunday?

This is because it is challenging to find a day that suits everyone.  Many people cannot get time off work during the week and we needed a weekend to ensure that events were accessible to those within our EMDR community unable to take time off work, for CPD.  To support them and also for our colleagues who have a religious requirement for non-computer activities on Fridays and Saturdays.

How long are events and how much do they cost?

Each Sunday event can runs for 3- 5 hours (inclusive of breaks). The events are donation ONLY – with a suggested amount of £50 / $60 per training event.  Sometimes, you may find that attendees from countries like Africa who have limited funds have been invited to attend these events free of charge.

It is our belief that this is exactly how we build the community Francine Shapiro tasked us with creating.  Through kindness, generosity and humanitarian actions.  The monies go to which ever charity the speaker designates or can go to our CIC (community interest company, our non-profit that supports charity initiatives around the world).   When you click on the link provided FOR that training, this will take you to a bookings page with a link to book and then a donation button for you to donate.

Where are these events held?

These events are always held online, to ensure the most people in need of CPD are able to access it.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Child Trauma Therapy Centre supports these events but does not accept monies for them – as the monies go directly to the nominated charity the speaker designates.
