I only work with Children and Young People – Do I have to attend a Generic EMDR Training or can I just attend the Child & Adolescent EMDR Training instead?

The EMDR Association UK and EMDR Europe Association sets the eligibility criteria for attending the Europe Accredited EMDR Child & Adolescent Trainings. I

t is a requirement that attendees must have completed at least part or level 1 of a Generic EMDR Training (to ensure a foundation in understanding the EMDR Model) prior to attending the Core (Level 1) Europe Accredited EMDR Child & Adolescent Training.

For the Advanced (Level 2) Europe Accredited EMDR Child & Adolescent Training, all parts of the generic EMDR Training should have been completed before attending the Advanced Child Training.
